Residential services include both limited in-home supports and community living settings and supports for those individuals eligible for DD Services. Services provided are based on the needs of individuals served, with the philosophy of providing the least restrictive, most appropriate homelike environment which is financially available. Services can range from a few hours per month for issues such as medical and budgeting assistance up to providing total daily supervision and support. Services are provided to enable individuals to live in natural and integrated community settings of their own choosing by supporting them in the areas needed. This array of services emphasizes individual choice and decision-making, allowing each individual to achieve as independent lifestyle as possible. Supported Living, Level One (L1) Waiver, and Individual Options (IO) Waiver services are the funding sources for these services. These services are provided by certified residential providers. Service and Support Administrators (case managers) assess an individual’s residential needs, develop the Individual Service Plan (ISP), and supply needed information to ensure the ISP is followed and individual needs are being met. There may be waiting lists for Supported Living, Level One (L1) Waiver, and Individual Options (IO) Waiver services.
